Camper Vans, Tourers and Caravans

Overnight stopovers and service point

We have the space for up to 6 self-contained units to stay with us at any one time. Pitches are not marked, but are on the level, grassed area immediately to the rear and sides of the building. Pitches can be booked with or without electric hook up and include access to drinking water, waste and refuse disposal. The site has a pleasant rural outlook with level, well drained ground, bordered by mature trees.

Please note our facilities are available for short stays only. Stays of over 7 consecutive nights are not permitted.

Limited hard standing is available on the village hall car park but we prefer campers to park to the sides or rear of the hall. Please do not park directly in front of the building (on the left or right hand side of the main entrance door), being sure to leave a gap that will allow parking for hall users with mobility issues. We ask that you park considerately and do not block access for hall users or residents.

Touring motorhomes are welcome to refill water tanks or empty waste for a small donation in the box on the wall by the main door, or BACS transfer (please add ‘Donation’ to BACS payment reference).

We are situated off the start of a Quiet Lane between Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests, and this is an ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with excellent walking and cycling opportunities on the doorstep. We are within a short drive of attractions such as Orfordness, Orford Castle, Sutton Hoo, Snape Maltings, Shingle Street, Woodbridge and Aldeburgh.

The Oyster is a two minute walk away and offers a selection of drinks and food with a rotating daily menu (curry, fish and chips, BBQ, pizza etc.) for those planning a stay. Please see the pub’s social media for the latest offerings.

Each year, the hall and field may be reserved for a limited number of camping and caravan rallies or club meets. The venue has also proven popular for local Duke of Edinburgh activities and school and scout camping trips. Please contact our booking secretary if you would like to arrange a group booking and / or arrange a tailored package including use of the hall.

Wish more villages had your foresight. Thank you!”
